SRO's newest front office face might also be a familiar one to many who have dealt with the company over the years. Tina Terry, daughter of Jon and Barbara Terry, has spent her entire life around the entertainment business. Always interested in going along with Dad to events and productions soon after learning to walk, she became very accustomed to being backstage at concerts and in the stands at many different sporting events.
Her acquaintances in her early years included the famous Krazy George (who loved to sing the song Mumbo #9 to her just because it had her name in the lyrics), Jake “The Diamond Dog”, Myron Noodleman and an array of musicians. One well-known Tulsa saxophonist claimed her as his God Daughter at a very young age. Hanging out at SRO events did get her audience with actor James Earl Jones, actress Alfre Woodard , and even Ronald McDonald (a big deal at that time).
It’s no wonder that she became a quick study in the industry that she had known all her life. An accomplished vocalist herself, Tina attended the University of Tulsa, first on a music scholarship, but switched to a major in Arts Management.
The first line of responsibility given to Tina was the company’s music booking division. However, she also attends all major sports trade shows and will gradually become more and more involved in this side of the company as well.
